The Energy Lab is a mix of large outdoor and semi-outdoor exhibits (contained in open-sided pavilion) which explore different forms of energy from renewables to fossil fuels. The exhibition is fun, colourful and filled with many large exhibits with innovative approaches to interaction. Users compete to gain the most ‘energy points’ from the exhibit stations which each interpret a type of fuel. Users insert cards into ‘check-in’ kiosks which log their energy capture from the exhibit stations, programmed to provide scaled outputs. Making the point-scoring system more interesting is the addition of green and carbon points which affect the final result. Working with Expology
We worked with the Norwegian design company Expology, who contacted Science Projects to form a combined bid which was based on an initial conceptual design.
