We are delighted, and very proud to share the news that Stephen Pizzey, founder and CEO of Science Projects, is the recipient of this prestigious award which recognises “leadership and legacy in the field of informal learning”. Steve was one of the early pioneers of the hands-on approach in the UK, working with the leaders who set up the first science centres such as Professor Beetlestone with Techniquest in Cardiff and Professor Richard Gregory F.R.S and his ‘Exploratory’ in Bristol. Between then and now he has remained a key figure with involvement in the British and international field as well as overseeing our Observatory Science Centre in Herstmonceux, the London workshop and Touring Exhibition programmes.
