As part of our charitable objectives, Science Projects has funded a new project for 2019 which aims to foster relationships with local schools, providing a STEM resource through its hands-on exhibits.
The exhibition will go to local mainstream and Special Education Needs and Disabilities schools and we will use the opportunity to evaluate and review the exhibits to improve the educational value, experience and inclusivity for all audiences.
The feedback has been incredibly positive and the school children have taken to the exhibits with real enthusiasm, reinforcing the importance of a hands-on approach to learning and to nurture excitement and enthusiasm to science. We are particularly pleased to have delivered the exhibitions to a SEND school, whose pupils have a range of complex learning needs and some associated physical difficulties making external visits to science museums and centres very difficult.
