For nearly 30 years Science Projects has been running The Observatory Science Centre in East Sussex, playing a major role in fulfilling our charitable objectives of promoting science to the public through hands-on exhibits.
Running our own centre has given us a unique perspective when designing and building exhibits for others. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how people of all ages interact with our exhibits, giving us valuable insight into what sparks curiosity and truly engages visitors as well as how they physically respond to different designs of exhibits. This experience allows us to create exhibits that aren’t just educational, but also immersive and intuitive. Having built and maintained our own centre in the former home of the Royal Greenwich Observatory, we understand the practicalities of running an interactive space which helps us design solutions that are not only innovative but also durable and sustainable for long-term use.
