Over the past few weeks we have been working at Denmark’s Experimentarium fitting out their new water area, “The Beach” which explores water phenomena, the ocean and coastal environments.
The exhibition is part of the centre’s reincarnation into an advanced, modern science centre and is set to open in January. We’ve created lots of exciting water exhibits with our most popular activities targeting a range of ages from pre-school upwards. We’ve built a giant, steampunk themed submarine which takes visitors on a journey into the oceans, and a ship that has two levels of exhibits, large and small. Enticing beach huts house more exhibits and interesting facts about water.
Originally established in 1991, Experimentarium has long been respected by the science centre community and was one of the earliest hosts of the ECSITE conferences in 1993, when there was only a handful of members. With 11,500 square meters of impressive exhibitions spread over four floors, the new Experimentarium is going to be an experience not to be missed.
