Our Travelling Exhibition collection comprises 9 free-standing exhibitions available for hire by museums, science and discovery centres, festivals, libraries and other public venues worldwide.
Attracting new audiences and increasing visitor numbers to your venue, our touring exhibitions provide an ideal way to present an ever-changing programme. Each exhibition contains 10-20 hands-on exhibits, requires approximately 100 sq.m. of space, and can be up and running in less than half a day.
We ship internationally and our travelling exhibitions have been installed and enjoyed by audiences across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and USA.
On Tour at Singapore Science Centre until Autumn 2026
A collaboration between Science Projects and the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre, famous for its collection of beautiful, humorous hand-made automata, ‘The Mechanicals’ touring exhibition comprises 9 interactive exhibits and 10 automata.
Witty, hand-crafted automata are displayed alongside hands-on exhibits explaining the engineering mechanisms involved, including pulleys, ratchets and levers.

This exhibition reveals the techniques, tricks and trade of the art world from perspective to lighting, to composition. It looks into some of the major developments in the art world and how they shaped what people painted, how they painted it and what they painted with. The exhibition consists of 14 hands-on exhibits.
Experiment with lenses, lightning and luminosity and many other classic demonstrations on colour and optics across 16 hands-on exhibits. Investigate how images merge into moving pictures in the zoetrope and praxinoscope, and how much your brain influences what you see.
Find out what the ancients did for us. Shoot down a castle wall with a Roman catapult and see how the Egyptians locked their doors. Build an aqueduct to guide water to a village and try the Greek way of using the Sun to burn the enemy’s ships. There is art and music as well and you can even write your name in hieroglyphics. The forces of nature are invisible but they affect every moment of our lives. You can feel them when driving round corners, ice skating or riding a bike. And you can see their effects in smoke rings and bubbles, even the way water flows when emptying the bath. These large-scale exhibits help explain how they work. The exhibitions consists of 14 exhibits.
The medieval period was one of great creativity and development. Many of the basic technologies which underpinned the renaissance and later the industrial revolution were first developed, while at the same time innovations from Roman times were rediscovered and refined. With this exhibition you can explore these technologies first-hand and get an insight into the roots of modern technology and the inventiveness of our ancestors. The exhibition consists of 15 hands-on exhibits.

Challenge your senses to gather information about the world around you with this highly interactive exhibition.
Can you see what’s going on to the side when you are looking straight ahead? Can you put a plug in a socket without your sight? How does your mind decide what colour a thing is? What part does your memory play in exploring the world with your senses? Smell, touch and hear your way around these family-friendly hands-on activities and even explore the mysterious sense of proprioception. The exhibition comprises 18 interactive exhibits.

We’re surrounded by sound and our ears are bombarded by noise but do you know how sound is made and how it travels? It’s all to do with vibrations of course. Experiment with odd musical instruments, find out how your vocal cords work, puzzle your brain with sound illusions and watch your voice on a computer screen. The exhibition consists of 16 hands-on exhibits.
